MMR Vaccine

So as you have read in a previous post Tessa got her 12 month shots on the 7th. One of those shots was the MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) shot.  Her Dr did tell us that she may get a reaction to them but only about 15% of kids have a reaction. Well poor Tessa was one of the lucky 15%. Yesterday I noticed small red bumps on the back of her head, neck, belly, and back. I immediately called her Dr. He had said that it's a reaction to the shots she got . I had completely forgotten that he had said this (may have to start taking a notebook to write things down). But the only thing we could do to help her is give Tylenol for the discomfort and benedryl for the itching. I went and got her the Aveena oatmeal bath mix for her bedtime baths. Last night she went down for bed at 7pm and at 9:30 I heard her wake up. Normally she cries for a minute and passes back out. Well not last night. I went and got her and brought her into bed with Jeremy and I. She tossed and turned all night. Maybe got 3 hours of sleep all night. I felt so bad for her. Here is a picture of her goofing around at midnight last night.

This morning the dots had gotten redder, which my mom said means it's going away (she did some research after I told her about Tessa). I am hoping she starts feeling better. She seems to be in better spirits today and has already taken 2 long naps. Thank god, she needed them after no sleep last night. We have a long week ahead of us with a very special visitor coming to visit (her auntie Mindy) and Thanksgiving (were she will get to meet her daddy's cousin Jennifer, her husband Steve, and their son Dolton). So we are going to keep up the oatmeal baths, Tylenol, and benedryl going. The dots seems to be fading a little bit more as the day is going on. Here are some pictures of her dots from last night.
Her back
Her belly

And then a couple of her face this morning.
Keep her in your thoughts and prayers, that she gets better quick.
That's it for now.
Come back soon y'all.
